The Isagani (Asila) Rios Foundation Inc. (IARFI) was established with a burden for education as a pathway to a better life and to uplift the individual dignity and self-esteem of the human person. It strives to give poor but deserving Filipino students the tools to become the best version of themselves and in the process, contributing to the overall growth and development of their communities.
The foundation is the brainchild of businessman, Mr. Ninno C. Rios who named it after his father, former San Fernando, Romblon Mayor Isagani Rios.
Growing up, Ninno, the youngest of 3 boys was exposed to the values of service and dedication at an early age. Aside from their father, they were likewise influenced by their mother, Asila Coronel-Rios, a career educator and principal of a local school as well as the governance legacy of their grandfather, Don Adriano Rios who served, previously from 1919-1921, as governor of Romblon during the American period.
Inspired by the example set by his parents, Mr. Ninno Rios, thru IARFI, has been moved to extend scholarships initially to poor yet deserving students of Romblon with a firm conviction that education would really be of significant help in their further pursuit of a better life.
With this noble cause, Mr. Ninno C. Rios, as founder of IARFI himself, commits to further provide scholarship opportunities and educational assistance packages for qualified beneficiaries.
